plant landscape in universities
Summary
With the rapid development of our social economy and culture, the importance of higher education is growing. A large number of enrollment expansion of colleges and universities across the country, the teaching scale expands unceasingly, also a lot of the old campus and facilities can not support their enrolment, affect the quality of teaching. Therefore, the construction of new campus, rebuilding the old campus is the top priority. At the same time, building a harmonious society in our country, under the premise of ecological environmental protection, and others put forward constructing the campus 'urbanization', 'ecological campus', so it is particularly important to reasonable planning campus construction.
Beautiful environment landscape is the spirit of the campus construction, institutions of higher learning campus landscape should have four main functions, namely: meet the needs of the employees work and life between teachers and students, by the spirit of good environment edify people sentiment (' people create environment and conditions for people '), to set foot in the campus of teachers and students, quiet and tastefully laid out and pleasant environment, visitors to civilization is a good addition to the urban environment .Through investigation, analysis and practice,from the Angle of campus space characteristics, summarize the characteristics of plant landscape in colleges and universities,and puts forward the existing problems and the expected trend.

1. Introduction
The concept of 'plant landscape' was proposed by experts and policy-making departments in the late 1970s, which used plant materials as the main body to construct landscape architecture. At present, there is no unified definition of 'plant landscape' in China.Su Xueheng in the book of plant landscape is defined like this: 'Plants is the use of trees, shrubs, vines and herbs to create landscape, give full play to the natural beauty of plant itself, line, color, etc,which to be planted in a beautiful and moving picture for people to see.' With the acceleration development of related research, the modern plant landscape concept is different from the traditional plant landscape, landscape scenery not only plant materials as the main body, and to emphasize biodiversity, ecology, sustainable use, etc,not only to highlight the landscape visual effect, also pay attention to the ecological benefits of plant landscape.
Plant landscape in colleges and universities is a comprehensive discipline, as shown in figure 1, on the one hand,it is closely related to architecture, environmental science, ecology, botany, etc. using the principle and design method of ecology, so as to layout of all species tends to be reasonable, with certain objectivity; On the other hand, it reflects the campus culture, meet the emotional needs of the teachers and students, is the carrier of the campus spiritual civilization, so the plant landscaping has the high artistic quality, is the use of rational thinking, select the appropriate plant species, expressed by way of sensibility.
2.The various space plants in universities
2.1 The division of campus space
At present, most colleges and universities have large scale and the characteristics of'miscellaneous and many'，Therefore, the university landscape planning needs to meet the learning and life needs of different groups.The landscape of plants shows the trend of diversification according to the local characteristics and the characteristics of the university.Such as art college in pursuit of romantic art atmosphere, medical colleges and universities can set herbals, agriculture and forestry colleges, highlight the characteristics of 'farmers' and 'forestries', in short, the purpose of the plant landscape artistic conception beauty is to create a campus environment.
